Embroidery!!

Hello all!

Remember that last post?
The one with the partially finished embroidery at the end?

Well guess what?!

I actually got some photos of the finished product!
It was made back in May as a Mother's Day gift because dear mum loves all my handmade goodies (no matter how ugly they might turn out to be). Luckily for her, this one didn't turn out ugly, haha. I really love this and I would have liked to keep it for myself but I wasn't feeling particularly selfish that day I guess.
Ok, here we go. Photos of the finished embroidered tea towel!

I used various solid colours of DMC embroidery floss and a blue-purple variegated floss. Sorry, I didn't take note of the actual colour numbers as I was stitching this. I'll know to do this next time though because some people have asked me.
Not to toot my own horn here or anything but, the photos really do not do this justice at all. It looks way more awesome in real life.

Wondering about the pattern? I know you are.
Pattern credit goes to Andrea Zuill, she made this beautiful pattern available as a free download from her BLOG. I really suggest that you go visit her site. She offers up a beautiful and often quirky free embroidery pattern every month, which is quite generous if you ask me. Andrea, if you somehow happen upon my little blog post I'd just like to say thank you.

So that's that. I also embroider. I know that most reading this will have come from Ravelry where I share in delicious, yarn-y, crochet discussion but I love all kinds of textile/fiber crafts. If you enjoy other kinds of arts/crafts, I'd love to see so please feel free to share a link to your other projects in the comments. I look forward to hearing from you!

It's time to run but I will leave you with another preview of a finished embroidery project:

Have a wonderful Thursday!

Oh it's beautiful! Far too pretty for drying dishes. You are so neat at embroidery.
